Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop advanced predictive solutions for content mining, including clinical natural language processing, and automatic text classification, using the latest technologies and algorithms.
- Pre-train medical language models for healthcare applications, scenarios, and tasks, using the latest deep learning and neural network technologies.
- Coordinate technical contributions within the team, and with collaborators on the clinical hospital site project, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow, and adherence to the specified schedule.
- Cooperate in the technical implementation and deployment of natural language processing platform prototypes in clinical sites, and test the performance of models in real work environments.
- Contribute to technical reports and project documentation, writing periodic reports detailing project progress, team challenges, and proposed solutions.

Qualifications
- The applicant must have a university degree in computer science, computational linguistics, or engineering, with at least a master’s degree preferred.
- The applicant must have proven experience in natural language processing techniques, and experience developing and training models using transformer architectures.
- The applicant must have practical experience with deep learning libraries (e.g. Pytorch, TensorFlow, Spacy, Transformers).
- Knowledge of deep learning methods for pre-training large language models using transformer architectures (e.g. BERT, Roberta, DeBERTA, GPT, Bloom).
- The applicant must have advanced programming skills in Python, and experience using software development resources (Git).
- The applicant must have strong technical writing skills, and the ability to write technical reports and documentation clearly and understandably.
- The applicant must be familiar with Spanish, but not a requirement.
- The applicant must have excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
